Family owned and operated means always knowing you can trust in us to treat your plumbing contractor projects as if they were our own. Monroe Plumbing will never have employees work on commission, trying to up-sell on remodeling or repair services. We focus on providing quality and warrantied services at reasonable prices, and will never take advantage of your trust.
Scott Monroe - Owner/President
Scott was born in Andover, Mass., and moved to Manatee/Sarasota (what he calls paradise) at 12 years old. He grew up helping his father with the Monroe Plumbing business, and at the age of 19, became the youngest licensed plumber in the State of Florida. He then purchased the business from his dad in 1986.
Scott is a husband, father, and grandfather of 3 sons, 3 step-daughters, 4 granddaughters, and 1 grandson. His wife, Linda, attends to the office administration and marketing for Monroe Plumbing. Scott is active in supporting non-profits in our community, especially the Hernando DeSoto Society.
In his free time, Scott enjoys watching the Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lighting, boating, golfing, fishing with his family, and vacationing to various places, filling his bucket list while he is young enough to enjoy it with family and friends.
Scott is a member of the Manatee County Chamber, Hernando Desoto Historical Society, and the Bradenton Yacht club in Palmetto.
Chris Monroe
Chris is Scott’s son, and is a native of Bradenton, Florida. He attended MTI in Bradenton for Plumbing, and went on to Tallahassee Community College before deciding to join Monroe Plumbing with plans to eventually take over the company to become the third generation of Monroe Plumbing.
Chris is Monroe Plumbing's backflow specialist and became a licensed plumber in 2022. Chris is great with all of our clients; we have had many compliments about him. Some customers have even asked him to stay for lunch! :)
In his free time, Chris likes fishing, playing softball and enjoying the outdoors.
